An Rí

An Rí is the final car design we created. This car was designed and named after the King Cheetah. A breed easily recognisable by the 3 stripes that run down its back.

This car concept was designed by Owen and created by Billy with the help of Aston university.

Key Aspects

  • A built in axle hubcap designed to avoid wheels flying off due to mechanical failure or scrutineering failure here

  • Slim as possible wheels while kept regulation compliant as to reduce friction and resistance to acceleration

  • Ballast compartment located under halo and helmet, included in design for addition of legal ballasts, which are helpful in keeping the car above minimum weight

  • Front spoiler kept low profile and strictly functional while also having only a slight angle to avoid too much energy loss to exessive downforce

  • Back spoiler has been kept to a minimal angle as the CO2 cartridge already provides enough downforce for the car.

  • Hybrid ceramic bearing slot to allow for the installation of advances miniature bearings for the purpose of reducing friction, increasing acceleration, and retention of inertia
